50 Migrants Linked To ISIS Smuggling Operations Missing In US

Sen. Jim Banks (R-IN) revealed Sunday that 50 illegal immigrants smuggled into the United States by ISIS-affiliated networks are currently missing. This announcement follows terror attacks in New Orleans and Las Vegas, sparking increased concern about national security.

During a televised interview, Banks shared that the Department of Homeland Security documented 400 individuals with ties to ISIS crossing the southern border last year. “Fifty of them are unaccounted for,” he said, describing the situation as a critical security lapse.

Banks criticized the Biden administration’s border policies, arguing that lax enforcement allowed terror networks to exploit weaknesses in the system. He expressed optimism that the Trump administration, set to return to office this month, will address these vulnerabilities effectively.

The senator commended Trump’s first-term success in dismantling the ISIS caliphate, framing it as evidence of his ability to combat terrorism. He also pointed to Trump’s nominees Kash Patel and Pete Hegseth as instrumental in strengthening intelligence efforts.

These revelations come as authorities investigate New Year’s Eve attacks linked to ISIS-inspired actors. In New Orleans, a truck attack on Bourbon Street left 14 dead, while a coordinated assault in Las Vegas caused further casualties.

Authorities are intensifying efforts to locate the missing individuals and mitigate future risks to national security.
