The Trump administration has launched a sweeping effort to eliminate access to classified materials for individuals it says pose a danger to U.S. security. Prosecutor Andrew Weissman, New York Attorney General Letitia James and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton are among those now barred from receiving any intelligence briefings or entering secure facilities.
President Donald Trump ordered all federal departments to immediately revoke active clearances and block further access for a wide array of political figures and government veterans. The decision includes prominent members of the Biden administration and several officials tied to past investigations of Trump.
The list also includes President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris and all members of Biden’s family. Other names include Antony Blinken, Liz Cheney, Jake Sullivan, Fiona Hill, Alexander Vindman and Adam Kinzinger. Lawyers such as Mark Zaid and Norman Eisen were also impacted.

In addition to cutting off classified briefings, Trump’s order requires agencies to inform private employers when a clearance was tied to work outside of government. The memo aims to prevent continued access through private channels.
Look who lost their security clearance. Even Hillary is on that list. pic.twitter.com/TAJq4zPdEx

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard confirmed earlier this month that clearances had already been revoked for some individuals on the list. Her announcement covered Blinken, Sullivan, Monaco, Bragg, Eisen, Weissman and James, in addition to dozens of former officials who signed a letter disputing the Hunter Biden laptop in 2020.
I really can't explain how relieved that makes me feel that President Trump pulled the security clearance from Hillary & Kamala. They both sold out Americans & women, in this US Vet's opinion.🙏🥳🙏

Trump has also moved to block access for firms such as Perkins Coie and Paul Weiss. The Perkins Coie order is tied to the Steele dossier, while Paul Weiss was linked to the criminal case against Trump in New York. Paul Weiss later reached a resolution with the administration to lift the order.
The decision mirrors Biden’s 2021 move to deny Trump access to sensitive briefings. At the time, Biden said Trump’s behavior made him unfit to receive intelligence updates. Trump has now cited similar reasons for his own sweeping revocation orders.
