Bondi Targets Deep State, Freezes Sanctuary City Funds And Launches DOJ Reforms

Attorney General Pam Bondi has taken immediate action to implement President Donald Trump’s vision for a justice system free from political interference. Her first orders as the nation’s top law enforcement officer include investigating past DOJ abuses and cutting off sanctuary city funding.

Among Bondi’s top priorities is the Weaponization Working Group, which will review past prosecutions and investigate whether federal agencies engaged in politically motivated law enforcement. The group will focus on cases tied to January 6 to determine if prosecutors unfairly targeted individuals based on political considerations.

Bondi has also issued a sweeping directive to block federal funding from sanctuary cities, ensuring that taxpayer dollars are not used to support jurisdictions that defy federal immigration laws. The order halts all DOJ grants and contracts with cities that provide protection to illegal immigrants.

In addition to addressing sanctuary cities, Bondi has instructed her department to conduct an internal review of officials who participated in politically charged cases. The administration is working to identify those who used federal law enforcement agencies to advance partisan objectives.

These rapid changes reflect Trump’s broader plan to reform the DOJ and eliminate Deep State influence. Bondi’s aggressive approach to justice reform has already signaled that the department will no longer operate under the political biases of previous administrations.

As Bondi continues rolling out reforms, more changes are expected in the coming weeks to further Trump’s mission of restoring fairness and accountability within federal law enforcement.
