Massive Fraud Allegations Hit Sunny Hostin’s Husband In RICO Lawsuit

Dr. Emmanuel “Manny” Hostin, orthopedic surgeon and husband of The View co-host Sunny Hostin, is named in a sprawling RICO lawsuit filed in New York City. The lawsuit accuses Hostin and nearly 200 other defendants of engaging in fraudulent medical practices and improper billing schemes.

The case, filed on December 17, alleges that Hostin billed American Transit Insurance for unnecessary procedures and received disguised payments in return. Prosecutors claim the fraudulent activities targeted the insurance company, which primarily serves rideshare and taxi drivers.

Hostin’s attorney, Daniel Thwaites, called the lawsuit meritless and accused the insurance company of using legal tactics to avoid paying legitimate claims. “This case is designed to intimidate doctors and restrict care for patients,” Thwaites said.

Sunny Hostin, who frequently discusses legal and political topics on The View, has previously commented on her husband’s work. In one episode, she mentioned his ongoing struggles with insurance companies, including the need to sue for payment. These remarks have resurfaced as the lawsuit gains attention, prompting further scrutiny.

The allegations against Dr. Hostin are part of one of New York’s largest RICO cases, underscoring the scale of the claims. If proven, the lawsuit could lead to serious consequences for all involved, placing additional pressure on the Hostin family.

The legal proceedings will likely draw ongoing public interest due to the high-profile nature of the case and Sunny Hostin’s prominent role in media.
