A 60-year-old man from Bath, New York, has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a Trump supporter over a “Trump 2024” hat at a local grocery store. Police say the attack left the Trump supporter with broken teeth and a bloody mouth.
The incident took place on the morning of November 1 at Tops Friendly Markets in Bath, according to a statement from the Village of Bath Police Department. Authorities report that the suspect, Robert Yott, became confrontational upon seeing the Trump hat, initiating an attack and punching the victim in the head and face. The police confirmed that Yott and the victim did not know each other, calling the incident a random act of violence.
