Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) recently unveiled a new website titled “Never Nikki,” urging libertarians not to vote for former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley (R) as the Republican Party’s presidential nominee in 2024.
On X, formerly known as Twitter, Paul said that based on Haley’s record, independents and conservatives should not vote for her.
“Based on her record and campaign, I don’t see how any thoughtful or informed libertarian or conservative should vote for @NikkiHaley. If you agree, let your voice be heard,” Paul said.
Paul released a series of posts on X, indicating which aspects he likes of three GOP presidential contenders, including former President Donald Trump, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy. The Kentucky congressman said he also views the ideas of independent presidential contender Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to be profound.

In the past two presidential elections, Paul supported Trump. The Kentucky lawmaker has served in the Senate since 2011.
Paul listed reasons he opposed Haley’s presidential bid and explained why other libertarians should follow suit.
“While most others were decrying the mistakes of the past 20 years, and fighting for an America First foreign policy, @NikkiHaley was aligning herself with and declaring her foreign policy allies to be John McCain and Lindsey Graham,” Paul said on X.
The Kentucky lawmaker added that the former South Carolina governor lacks respect for the First Amendment and believes the U.S. can send unlimited monetary aid to foreign countries.
“I am #NeverNikki and I hope you will be too,” Paul concluded in his thread on X.
Paul’s attacks against Haley come days before the Iowa caucuses, which will occur on Jan. 15, 2024. Polls show that the former South Carolina governor trails Trump in The Hawkeye State with just 17.2% support.
Haley has been unable to catch up to Trump, the GOP frontrunner. She is also in second place in New Hampshire and South Carolina, where primaries will take place on Jan. 23, 2024, and Feb. 24, 2024, respectively.
Haley’s presidential campaign is doing its best in New Hampshire, where the former South Carolina governor polls the closest to Trump. New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu (R) has endorsed her for president.
