Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign is hoping to sway Republican voters by touting endorsements from several prominent RINOs, including former GOP Reps. Adam Kinzinger and Liz Cheney, as well as Jimmy McCain, son of the late Arizona Sen. John McCain. These figures have been vocal critics of President Donald Trump and are now backing Harris in the upcoming election.
The Harris campaign has launched a “Republicans for Harris” initiative, aiming to attract moderate Republicans and Independents who may be dissatisfied with Trump’s leadership. Kinzinger, Cheney, and McCain have all distanced themselves from Trump, and their endorsements are part of a broader strategy to appeal to voters who feel disconnected from today’s GOP.
“We are proud to have support from Republicans who value patriotism, freedom, and a dedication to the Constitution,” said campaign spokesperson Ian Sams. “Vice President Harris is the candidate who represents these values.”
While Harris’s campaign gains support from these RINOs, Trump continues to receive backing from former Democrats like Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard. Trump campaign spokesperson Karoline Leavitt criticized the Harris campaign’s reliance on RINOs, saying, “No true conservative will vote for Kamala Harris, who stands for radical policies and open borders.”
Harris’s team is betting that these RINO endorsements will help sway Republican voters, but it remains to be seen whether this strategy will significantly impact the broader GOP base.
