‘The Doll’ Arrested In Colombia For Role In Targeted Killings

Colombian police have captured Karen Julieth Ojeda Rodriguez, a 23-year-old known by her alias “La Muneca” or “The Doll,” for her alleged involvement in several high-profile murders. The arrest follows months of investigations into gang-related violence in Barrancabermeja.
Rodriguez is accused of organizing the July 23 killing of her ex-boyfriend, Deyvy Jesus. Police say she invited him to a meeting under the guise of resolving a money dispute, but when he arrived, he was fatally shot by two men on a motorcycle.

Along with Rodriguez, authorities arrested two accomplices: Paula Valentina Joya Rueda, nicknamed “Gorda Sicaria,” and a man referred to as “Leopoldo.” Two firearms were seized during the arrests, and investigators are working to connect them to recent murders in the region.

Magdalena Medio police have emphasized the importance of these arrests in reducing violence. Lt. Col. Mauricio Herrara stated, “With the capture of alias La Muneca and alias Leopoldo, a period of calm has been created in the region. These arrests mark progress in the dismantling of criminal structures responsible for the recent homicides.”

Rodriguez’s arrest has garnered significant public attention, with footage of her being escorted by police spreading on social media. Her alleged role as a gang leader has made her a figure of interest in the fight against organized crime.

Authorities are continuing their investigations as they seek to bring stability to regions like Bucaramanga, where violent crime remains a pressing issue.
