Trump Strips Bolton, Clapper, Brennan Of Security Clearances To Defend Americans

President Donald Trump has revoked the security clearances of former National Security Advisor John Bolton, former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, and former CIA Director John Brennan. The executive order, signed shortly after Trump’s return to office, is aimed at sidelining key Deep State figures who have used their positions to undermine his administration and target conservatives.

The order specifically references Bolton’s 2019 memoir, which Trump’s team argues contained sensitive government information that should never have been made public. Officials have stated that Bolton’s decision to publish the book without proper clearance review posed a serious threat to national security and set a dangerous precedent.

Conservatives have praised the move, seeing it as a crucial step in dismantling the influence of unelected bureaucrats who have worked to derail Trump’s agenda. Supporters argue that individuals like Bolton, Clapper, and Brennan used their former roles to push narratives designed to discredit Trump and his policies.

Trump’s executive action also includes the revocation of security clearances for 50 additional former intelligence officials. Many of them were involved in publicly downplaying the Hunter Biden laptop scandal in 2020 by falsely claiming it was a Russian disinformation effort. This move, Trump argues, is necessary to ensure that national security information is not misused for political gain.

Bolton expressed his disappointment with the decision and confirmed that his Secret Service protection had also been revoked. He claimed the move was politically motivated, while Trump’s administration asserts it is purely about securing classified information from individuals who no longer serve the country.

Trump’s actions reflect his ongoing commitment to protecting the integrity of America’s national security apparatus and preventing political interference from entrenched Deep State operatives. Additional executive orders issued on his first day include measures to boost domestic energy production and secure the U.S. border.
