The name of the United States Agency for International Development has been removed from its headquarters in Washington, signaling a major shift as President Donald Trump’s administration works to eliminate the agency. The decision comes as an audit uncovered billions in taxpayer dollars being funneled into political activism, foreign media influence, and leftist social programs worldwide.
Ukraine’s media was heavily dependent on USAID, with reports confirming that nine out of ten news outlets relied on international donors, particularly the agency. With USAID’s funding now frozen, concerns have been raised about who will take control of Ukraine’s press as these outlets scramble for new sources of financing.

Documents show that USAID directed taxpayer dollars to ideological projects around the world. The agency funneled millions into LGBT lobbying in Serbia and funded a transgender opera in Colombia. Other grants supported a Sesame Street program in Iraq, gender-focused journalism training in Sri Lanka, and a transgender comic book in Peru.
USAID: Biden threatened to withhold a $1 billion USAID loan guarantee unless Ukraine fired the prosecutor investigating his son's company. Victoria Nuland funded the Ukrainian coup with USAID money. USAID is at the heart of the war between Ukraine and Russia.

Financial records also link USAID-backed grants to Black Lives Matter. The Soros-affiliated Tides Center was given $24.7 million, later sending over $12.6 million to BLM-related groups. This money was distributed as Black Lives Matter led nationwide protests in 2020 that resulted in widespread property destruction and economic damage.

Further scrutiny connects USAID to President Donald Trump’s first impeachment. A CIA whistleblower who played a role in the impeachment proceedings cited information from sources that received USAID funding.
