Frontier Airlines Flight Canceled After Pilot’s Arrest At Houston Airport

A Frontier Airlines flight was canceled on Saturday after the pilot, Seymour Walker, 45, was arrested aboard the aircraft at George Bush Intercontinental Airport. CBS News reported that Walker was taken into custody by Houston police on charges of assault involving family violence.

The arrest occurred around 4 p.m. as passengers were boarding Flight 3195 to Dallas. Texas law enforcement officials boarded the plane at a specific gate after all passengers deplaned and arrested Walker without incident.

Frontier Airlines confirmed the incident and the cancellation of the flight. “The activity occurred prior to the start of boarding for Flight 3195 scheduled from IAH to Dallas Fort Worth (DFW). A replacement crew member was not immediately available and therefore the flight was canceled,” the airline stated.

Affected passengers were provided with options for a full refund, a credit for future travel, or a seat on the next available flight. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) also commented on the incident. “Airlines report incidents such as this to the FAA office that oversees them, and we investigate all pilot-related issues,” the FAA said in a statement.
