Former Staffers Accuse Kamala Harris of Creating a Hostile Work Environment

Vice President Kamala Harris faces fresh allegations from former staffers who claim she created an oppressive and abusive work environment during her tenure as California’s Attorney General. The claims highlight a pattern of severe mistreatment, including verbal abuse and intimidating behavior.

According to a former staffer, employees were required to stand each morning and greet Harris with “Good morning, general” as she entered the office. Additionally, only senior staff members were allowed to look her in the eye, leaving others in constant fear of reprimand.

These revelations were detailed in a 2019 op-ed for The Union by Democrat professor Terry McAteer. His son, Gregory, worked as an intern for Harris in 2011 and experienced these conditions firsthand. McAteer wrote the piece to expose “a side of Kamala Harris which the general public does not know.”

“Gregory was also given instruction to never address Harris nor look her in the eye,” McAteer wrote. “Staff members lived in complete fear during her tenure as attorney general from 2011 to 2017.”

Reports indicate that Harris has faced numerous accusations of bullying throughout her career. A recent report from OpenTheBooks.com revealed a 95.1 percent staff turnover rate in her office as Vice President. Former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) confirmed this in an interview with Fox News, stating, “Nobody lasts very long while working for Kamala Harris. Even as VP, when she didn’t do anything, she could not keep staff.”

These allegations bring to light troubling aspects of Harris’s leadership style, raising concerns about her treatment of employees and overall management approach.
