Haley Slammed For Resurfaced Clip Supporting Illegal Migrants

Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley is being slammed on social media over a resurfaced clip from 2015 in which she attacks anyone who dares to describe illegal aliens “as criminals” — declaring that “they’re not,” and arguing that anyone who describes them as such is being “cold-hearted” and “disrespectful.”

Haley’s comments came during a panel at the Aspen Institute in July 2015, just one month after then-GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump announced his campaign for the presidency with a speech focused on illegal immigration.

Walter Isaacson, the moderator of the panel who was serving as the CEO of the Aspen Institute at the time, asked Haley about immigration in the final question of the night.

“As a family of immigrants from India, how does that inform your thinking on the immigration debate and what do you feel about the tone of the immigration debate as it has recently turned?” he asked.

Haley responded by acknowledging that Americans are frustrated with illegal immigration, but tried to downplay the criminality of the problem and portray the illegal aliens as harmless victims.

She told the audience to “keep in mind, these people who are wanting to come here, they’re wanting to come for a better life too. They have kids too. They have a heart too, so we don’t need to be disrespectful. We don’t need to talk about them as criminals, they’re not. They’re families that want a better life and they’re desperate to get here… We don’t ever need to talk about this in a cold-hearted way.”

Haley, like her allies in the establishment and those in the Democrat Party, fails to acknowledge the fact that illegally crossing the southern border is a crime, regardless of the desires of the illegal aliens. They also fail to acknowledge the fact that the areas south of the U.S.-Mexico border are almost entirely controlled by the violent Mexican cartels, forcing these illegal aliens to pay large sums of money or agree to work for the cartels in order to guarantee their passage into the U.S. — meaning that they are actively facilitating and funding the human trafficking, drug trafficking and other criminal activities of these cartels.

The clip of Haley’s past comments has gone viral on X, formerly known as Twitter, with many pointing out the obvious crimes committed by illegal aliens and the inconsistencies in her logic, while others called out Haley for siding with the Democrats.

“Illegal Immigrants are just desperate people Nikki ‘Cortez’ Says. No, they are Criminal Immigrants who break the law in order to steal from the American people. The legal asylum seekers have my utmost respect and I support them. The coyotes and those paying them are scumbags,” wrote journalist and YouTube host Tim Pool.

“Nikki Haley wants to go to war with literally everybody except the people invading the southern border,” wrote BlazeTV host Lauren Chen.

“We’re experiencing an unprecedented invasion of military age men from enemy nations and terrorist organizations, and Nikki Haley is worried about hurting their feelings,” wrote podcast host Monica Crowley.

“This reminds me of when Nancy Pelosi talked about cartel members in America being ‘children of God.’ Nikki is an open borders, warmongering globalist pretending to be a Republican populist. She works for the same people as Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, and Mitch McConnell,” wrote popular X user DC Draino, whose real name is Rogan O’Handley.
