Rep. Gaetz Calls For Investigation Into Alleged CIA Plot Against Trump

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) publicly called Wednesday for the Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government to investigate allegations raised by the O’Keefe Media Group regarding federal agencies withholding information from former President Donald Trump.

Gaetz shared an undercover video of a Deloitte contractor Amjad Fseisi who allegedly worked as a program manager in cyber operations at the CIA and NSA.

“This footage contains evidence that American intelligence agencies withheld intelligence from President Donald Trump before and during his presidency and used Foreign Intelligence Act (FISA) authorities to spy on President Trump and may be doing so today,” Gaetz wrote in a letter to Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH).

The video shows Fseisi admitting multiple intelligence agencies intentionally withheld information from Trump over concerns he would “disclose it.” Fseisi claims this effort included leaders of various intelligence agencies including former CIA Directors Gina Haspel and Mike Pompeo.

According to Fseisi intelligence was kept from Trump “because we knew he’d f—cking disclose it” and Trump was only given high-level overviews due to fears he would leak details. Fseisi also accused Trump of being “a Russian asset” and “owned by the f—cking Russians.”

When confronted by O’Keefe Fseisi denied his statements. The CIA called the claims “absolutely false and ridiculous” emphasizing their apolitical nature and stating they do not monitor the former president.
