Former President Donald Trump is a fighter, that much is obvious. And the more that extremist Democrats throw at him, the stronger he becomes and the more loyal his broad base of support grows toward him.
That much was proven in the aftermath of the egregious $83.3 million award given by a Manhattan jury to advice columnist E. Jean Carroll. The left holds the mistaken belief that enough legal attacks must eventually derail his candidacy for a second term in the White House.
So far, that truism has only proven false.
President Donald Trump is increasing his lead in the polls over Joe Biden ( polls also show that in a 3way race, RFK Jr takes more votes from Biden than President Trump) . According to the latest Morning Consult poll, Trump continues to hold a powerful 12-point lead among the key independent demographic. He also held his edge over incumbent President Joe Biden by a 44% to 42% margin.
As for independents, Trump’s lead increased by four points to 42%. Biden only claimed 30% of support among this group.
This latest polling laid waste to assertions by primary challenger and former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley. She expended considerable energy recently extolling her “electability” edge over the former president, but that proved false.
In fact, GOP voters leaned strongly toward a third-party option in the event of a Biden-Haley matchup. This trend was stronger in battleground states — another positive sign for the 45th president.
The 46th president made a startling statement to reporters about recent polls Tuesday before backtracking. Biden was preparing to leave the White House on Marine One when he was hit by a barrage of questions from reporters.
One of the queries concerned Democrat-controlled states attempting to bar Trump from their primary ballots. When asked if Trump should be a choice, Biden responded, “As far as I’m concerned, that’s fine.”
The journalist then followed up with another question. “Why is he leading in the polls if he is a threat to democracy, as you say?” This was a reference to Biden and other Democrats parroting the talking point that Trump as a candidate is somehow a risk to the Republic.
Biden replied, “Because guys like you.”
The obvious implication is that the media is propping Trump up with its coverage of his campaign and accompanying persecutions.
The reporter continued, “What am I doing? Come on, Mr. President!”
Biden then turned with his hands up as if he were joking. “I’m teasing, man. I’m teasing.”
