Comer Investigates Biden’s Doctor Following Debate Concerns

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) is calling for an interview with President Joe Biden’s personal physician, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, amid growing concerns about the president’s health following his recent debate performance.

In a letter obtained by the Washington Examiner, Comer expressed apprehension over Biden’s condition and questioned O’Connor’s February assessment, which described Biden as a “healthy, active, robust 81-year-old-male, who remains fit to successfully execute the duties of the Presidency.” This letter follows a widely discussed debate between Biden and former President Donald Trump on June 27, which raised further concerns about Biden’s mental acuity and overall health.

Comer also highlighted potential conflicts of interest, citing O’Connor’s alleged involvement with Americore, a now-defunct healthcare company connected to Biden’s brother, James Biden. According to Comer, James Biden received $600,000 from Americore for leveraging the Biden name to secure funding from the Middle East. These financial ties have led Comer to question the objectivity of O’Connor’s medical evaluations of the president.

In addition to requesting an interview with O’Connor, Comer has asked for all documents and communications related to Americore and James Biden. This request is part of a broader investigation into the Biden family’s business dealings.

The White House confirmed that Biden underwent a medical checkup following his debated performance, addressing public concerns over his health. The Biden campaign had previously stated that the president was battling a cold during the debate.

Adding to the intrigue, visitor logs have revealed that Dr. Kevin Cannard, a Parkinson’s disease expert from Walter Reed Medical Center, met with O’Connor and others at the White House residence clinic multiple times since November 2022. These meetings have fueled further speculation about Biden’s health.

The House Oversight Committee aims to schedule a transcribed interview with O’Connor by July 14 to delve deeper into these concerns and assess the validity of his medical evaluations of President Biden.
